Alfred Kleinert started business in 1968 and during the 1970’s he opened several Display Homes, some uniquely designed, featuring ideas ahead of the time. In 1972 Alfred Kleinert was awarded the Bronze Medal in the Victorian Architecture Awards for the “Fletcher House – Brighton”.

Alfred’s attention to detail is reflected in his personal involvement. Clients have been rewarded with successfully completed projects along with Alfred’s experience, humour and friendship.

In 1988 Alfred’s son Stephen joined the business, bringing with him sales, financial and management experience. Stephen spent the early years working on the building sites. This early practical experience has proven very valuable, as Stephen and Alfred have the necessary skills set to assist clients in custom designing building projects intelligently, thoughtfully and logically from concept design to key handover.

In 1995, Kleinert Homes was awarded the HIA top homes award for Best Display Home under $180,000.00 for their custom designed home the “Sterling” it proved to be everything it’s name suggested.

Since 1988 to the present day Alfred and Stephen co-ordinate and oversee the custom design and construction to completion. Their tailored design, advice and construction processes continually evolve through their many experiences. Alfred and Stephen complete every building project no matter how small or large as if they were being built for the Kleinert family to live in.

Today we proudly have 66 years of combined building design, construction and management experience. We have been independently awarded “highly recommended” certificates for excellence in customer service and satisfaction scoring 93.5% average over last 8 years and 80% of the homes we have built are a result of referrals from satisfied clients, who continue to refer to us.
